The Blackhawks have a series of programs that includes rising 3rd graders through adult players.  We also clinics at various times during the summer.  Our summer program for youth and high school players includes instruction, drills, short-field play, and our traditional HOTT Lax scrimmages.  This summer, more emphasis will be placed on stickwork and short-field play in the early sessions.

The general division breakdowns is youth (rising 8th graders and younger); high school (rising 9th through 12th graders); and adult (post high school graduates and experienced rising high school seniors).  Depending on registrations, the Blackhawks may add a U15 division comprised of our older youth players and younger high school players.  Based upon size and experience, come 8th graders in the youth program may, in the Blackhawks’ discretion, be invited to participate in the high school program.

The general schedule is as follows:

  • Mondays: High School Hott Lax League games
  • Tuesday: Youth Hott Lax League games
  • Wednesday: Position clinics for youth and high school players
  • Thursday: Scrimmages against outside competition.  For the past two years, we have selected some high school players to scrimmage the Alamance War Dogs summer team at Northeast Park in Gibsonville, and we plan to do the same this summer.
  • Fridays: Rain make-up day.
