Hunger Games 2014

The Triad Blackhawks 5th annual charity lacrosse event — the Stick it to Hunger Lacrosse Classic — took place on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Cash-Bagley Athletic Complex in Kernersville.

This year’s event featured 14 high school teams and 6 adult teams and collected a record 5,286 pounds of non-perishable food and $8,000 of tournament revenues to be donated to deserving charities.  Tournament proceeds of $5,000 have already been committed to the Christmas Relief Fund administered by Kernersville Elementary School.

The tournament was run by many self-sacrificing volunteers, including members of the Walkertown HS boys basketball team, East Forsyth HS girls lacrosse team, Greensboro College athletic training staff, Laurel University men’s lacrosse team, and the staff and administrators from Kernersville Elementary School.
