Clifton, Keefe Named to All-Star Game

Three-year spring Blackhawk co-captains Cole Clifton and Harry Keefe were today named to the West team for the first annual Triad High School All-Star Lacrosse game to be played at UNC-G soccer stadium on evening of Wednesday, May 23.  Clifton, a close defender who will play at Wingate next year, has spearheaded the spring Blackhawks’

defense for the past three seasons.  For his spring Blackhawk career, Clifton has 133 ground balls and 122 loose balls caused.  He always draws the opponent’s strongest attackman.

Keefe, who plays mostly attack, is the leading career spring Blackhawks scorer with 65 goals and 51 assists in three seasons.  He also holds the team record for career ground balls with 156.  He plans to play club lacrosse at Appalachian State.  The versatile and athletic Keefe has played all field positions during his career.

Clifton and Keefe played last summer on the Blackhawks’ “Apache” travel team that qualified for the Dick’s Sporting Goods National Championship.
