The 6th season of indoor lacrosse concluded on Monday evening with intense high school play as “mix-and-match” teams battled it out in semifinal and championship games. For the first time, K-Box featured an upgrade to the new Swax Lax ball that arrived with some skepticism but which soon became the favorite among all players. The result was less chasing of the bouncing ball and more meaningful touches by the players, all the better for player development. With players from fourteen different high schools, the 2016 K-Box season allowed players to play both with their high school teammates and in a mix-and-match competition. Coaches commented that they have never seen better team play than this season.
