Hunger Games Benefits Christmas Relief Fund

Triad Blackhawks director Kevin Bugg presents the Triad Blackhawks’ check in the amount of $3,500 to Kernersville Elementary School principal Becky Carter (left) and school social worker Lisa May today at the school.  The check, which will be used to benefit the Kernersville Christmas Relief Fund administered by the school, represents part of the net proceeds of the Blackhawks recent Hunger Games held at Bagley Fields.  In addition to the proceeds that were raised for charity, the Hunger Games collected over 1.5 tons of non-perishable food that was delivered to Greensboro Urban Ministry.
